I’ve gone back to my roots of where I started, playing with several blues artists here in Nashville. It’s been a blast adding a few more bands to the rotation, we’re playing all over the Nashville area and touring a little here and there.

Shaun Murphy (born 1948) is an American blues, R&B, and rock singer known for her powerful voice and versatility. She began her career in 1971 with Meat Loaf as Stoney & Meatloaf, later becoming a longtime collaborator with Bob Seger and touring with Eric Clapton, including at Live Aid. From 1993 to 2009, she was lead singer of Little Feat. Since then, Murphy has released multiple acclaimed solo albums, earning Grammy nominations and Blues Blast awards, solidifying her reputation as a dynamic and enduring performer.

It’s been a busy time in Nashville. I’m playing steadily four times a week on Broadway with the Tim Andrews band at Rippy’s Honky Tonk for the immediate future. We’re there Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 6-10, come check us out and eat some bbq!

NASHVILLE HERE I COME

I had some life changes this year that really set me to thinking about things. I lived in Nashville in 2014 & 2015 but family circumstances had me return to Philly before I could really get started. My friend and collaborator Moot Davis moved back in February and many of my other musician buddies are still in town so I’ll be able to hit the ground running.

It’s a little bittersweet to leave family, friends and loved ones but I’m really very excited to stretch my abilities with the higher talent and competition.
